Gorgeous 1953 XK120 Roadster 3.4 litre. This Roadster has been owned by the same family since the mid-1980s. We are offering this Jaguar with a low reserve for the son of the gentlemen who owned this car for the past 25+ years. Odometer reads 61,600 miles with less than 5,000 miles since being professionally restored in 1985. Matching engine numbers on both the cylinder head and engine block (W6196-8). Date of manufacture is 7 October 1952. Imported by Hoffman of New York.
The factory number plate (verified by the Jaguar Heritage Certificate) states:
Car No (VIN): 672981
Body No: F5005
Engine No: W6196-8
Gear Box No: JL13143
Overall presentation is very, very nice. The lacquer paintwork and bright work are excellent. Correct Dunlop 16" Road Speed RS5 tires. The Old English White lacquer paint is excellent though showing lacquer checking on the engine compartment firewall and interior wall of the trunk (boot). The red leather interior is stunning with normal wear. The side curtains and top are black canvas and in excellent condition as is the grey top frame. Chassis is completely rust free. Included with the car is several original tools and jack. Recently shown at Carlisle Import (May 2011), this XK120 was continually showered with compliments describing a beautiful woman. This Roadster is truly stunning and must be seen to be appreciated. Mechanicals match its appearance.
The XK120 has a valid Virginia title and is sold as is where is with no written or implied warranty.
