Car offered at:

Sellers description:
1955 Jaguar XK 140 DHC
Mediterranean Blue
Drop Head Coupe
4 Speed Manual
3.4 litre
584 miles (since restoration)
VIN-No. 807213
A$ 205,000
Henly’s London delivered this matching number car (original cylinder head supplied with car) on 12/7/55. The car has been the subject of a fully documented 15 year no expense spared restoration, the body being done by a very well regarded Sydney restorer, it has covered just 600 miles since then, just enough to shake down any issues post restoration.
The car has some discreet modern upgrades such as a hidden CD player, electronic ignition, uprated cooling system and front disc brakes. It also has some very desirable period upgrades, a genuine C Type head, genuine 2 inch sand-cast SU carburettors, competition bucket seats, close ratio 4 speed Moss box with overdrive, Koni suspension, Chrome wire wheels and twin exhaust tailpipes.
Good news for taller drivers is the extension to the seat runners to accommodate drivers over 6 ft in complete comfort.
The quality of this cars restoration is to the absolute highest standard, a thorough inspection on our hoist will reveal a beautiful ripple free side, perfect panel gaps and immaculate underside.

The best restoration I have ever seen of an xk . It went back to the UK in 2010 . Very expensive but you simply couldn't achieve this quality for less than 200k stg . plus donor car plus years of your life. Cheap for what it is.

well that's a coincidence I was only doing some research on this car this morning for the XK140 book. I have posted a before shot!
I own the car that was used as the donor car a very late steel door LHD MC overdrive 140 drop head coupe.
Basically the all the good stuff type C motor, overdrive box, wire wheels and hubs etc finished up on 807213 plus other bits that had gone missing during the initial restoration of 807213.
I would be interested as to who currently has 807213 currently in the UK
