Sellers description:
Jaguar XK140 DHC RHD 1955 - for sale
The XK140 we have for sale was restored to the highest standards in the 1990s by Lynx Jaguar and has been maintained excellently since. A photographic history of the restoration is available. This XK is an original right hand drive car with matching numbers and is even in it's original colour scheme. The only changes that have been made to the car are the addition of chrome wire wheels, an electric cooling fan, a header tank and an overdrive. These sensitive modifications only serve to make this XK even more usable and enjoyable. This 140 has also just had a new mohair hood fitted with the correct hood chromes.
This car is a pleasure to drive. The 3.4 engine has fantastic low end torque and pulls comfortably right through the rev range. The overdrive gearbox make cruising at 70+ a peaceful joy. The brakes are firm, fill you with confidence and pull up straight. A lovely long distance tourer, good show car and an XK that a purist would be proud to own.
