ALL 100+ PHOTOS OF the car and parts can be viewed on my website: www.yesterdaymarket.com

We believe ALL parts are here!! This partially restored (60% restored?) 1955 Jaguar XK140 Roadster Convertible was purchased in 1979 in South Carolina by David, a Physics Professor. I am selling this vehicle as is, to settle David’s estate. As near as we can tell, all parts are here and included in this auction, as David kept EVERYTHING he took off the car for restoration. MUCH of the hard restoration work has already been completed for YOU, the collector and restorer!! We believe this car to have a 3.8 litre motor with 4 speed gearbox w/ overdrive. The car had 51000 miles when he purchased it in 1979, and by 1980 he took it off the road and started a lifelong ambition to totally restore this Jaguar. He purchased the car for $4500.00 in 1979 and invested many thousands of dollars and countless hours taking the vehicle apart and painstakingly restoring everything under the hood. Odometer currently reads 51,994 miles. David was an excellent and precise mechanic, as well as a woodworker. The manuals and many other items are included in the sale. The engine was taken apart and restored as well as everything else from the wheelbase up through the chassis (please see photos). Chassis is solid and has been went through and re-painted. Remember that this is a southern car and has been in a garage for the duration that it has been up north. This is all solid. The body was taken apart and all paint removed and all metal sanded. The body is solid , in excellent shape with no dents and no filler. There is some slight surface oxidation which can easily be cleaned. The car right now has all the chrome and trim in 50 or so boxes. Also boxed up are many of the old parts that were removed from the car. The grill, bumpers, and the trim are all in very good to excellent condition. Many of the old parts are also in boxes. Car awaits partial reassembly, paint, detailing, and finishing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
