I have now bought this car and soon it will be shipped back to the UK for this first time since it went to USA in January 1959, to be converted to RHD and restored. I have today received the Heritage Certificate and entered some of the details from it.

I am close to completing the restoration of this car. It came from NY with replacements for the original engine or gearbox. I have saved as much as I economically could of the original metal. It is now painted Indigo Blue and is RHD. I have the original red leather seats but they are in very poor condition. I hope to start the engine (for the first time in many years) in April 2017.

The car passed its first ever MoT test yesterday. It was sent new to New York, and when I got it back to the UK in 2015 it was in a sorry state. It is now a beautiful road-going car. I just have the interior left to restore. It will be Grey, to go with the Indigo Blue exterior.

The car now has some of the grey interior that I have planned throughout - the racing bucket seats have arrived from Tim Goldthorpe and look great, the carpet set is here and just the interior leather and panels to go. Photos to follow soon!

The car now has a dark blue hood and both long and short tonneaus, added 3 August 2019. It now looks much more like it should do! I have now switched my attention to getting the door interior panels made, by Bill Lawrance & Sons in Sway.
