Additional info from above auction;

Lot 254
The car we offer is one of only 199 XK150S 3.4-litre fixed-head coupés made between 1958 and 1960. A matching-numbers, left-hand drive example equipped with the overdrive gearbox standard on the 'S' version, it is one of only eight 3.4-litre/3.8-litre LHD 'S' models imported new to France and was sold via Ets. Charles Delecroix. The car has had only five owners from new, the last three being: Mr. Maurice Cori (1970-2001), Mr. Patrick Coriton (2001-2003) and the current owner from May 2003.
Since then, more than € 80,000 has been spent on the car, mainly with Atelier Sontrop and more recently Atelier 46. During 2003-2004, the engine, front suspension, steering box, etc. were overhauled and new carpets and wire wheels fitted (invoices on file) and in the summer of 2004, the Jaguar was taken on a rally to St. Petersburg and back, performing faultlessly over the 6,000-kilometre journey. Over the winter of 2004-2005, the engine gearbox and overdrive were rebuilt, and a new wiring loom and brake servo installed (see photographic record and bills on file) while in September 2005 the brakes were refurbished and a rare, new-old-stock, close-ratio gearbox fitted together with a competition baffled sump and new shock absorbers. In recent years the 'XK' has participated in the Tour Auto on four occasions (in '05, '06, '07 and '08) experiencing no problems and proving very reliable. Finished in Old English White with original red leather interior, the car is offered with all original invoices, documents and owner's manual. A rare, left-hand drive XK150 variant, of proven reliability and eligible for the most prestigious events.
Estimate: €65,000 - 85,000

This Jaguar XK 150 has an unusual and particularly interesting history. As noted on the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate that comes with the car, it is one of the last two 3.4L " S " examples built and has retained its original engine block. It left the Coventry factory on 28 September 1960, in the livery that it has today, painted " Cream " with black leather interior and equipped with a manual gearbox with overdrive. Our XK was delivered new in Algeria by Capima, the marque distributor based in Alger, on 3 November that year. The current owner acquired the car in 2012, attracted by its history and the quality of patina that gives the car its character. Regularly maintained since then by the specialist Normandie Motors Services, it is a particularly smooth and pleasant car to drive. To make it more comfortable to use, electric power steering has been fitted and the front two seats have been replaced with more padded, leather-clad seats. The original seats have been conserved and will be delivered with the car, which comes with its owner's manual and a spare set of keys. The history file details the extensive maintenance costs of the last 18 years. This example displays an authentic and interesting patina only seen on cars that have been regularly maintained but never restored. Such an example, driven frequently and with plenty of attractive features, will no doubt appeal to enthusiasts of this legendary Jaguar.
