I bought this car in Roswell,New Mexico about 1972-all original. I live in Ohio and drove it to Lorain Ohio.Sold it about 1974(how foolish I was). I think to someone in Maine or Mass. I just remember a Porsche coming to my house with Maine or Mass-or New Jersey plates on it. who said they were in perfume business.I was about 25 then now I'm 57.Trying to find where car is now.Would love to see it. Jim.

Peter -Wow thanks for the information.I was shocked to hear from anyone about this car since it's been so many years. I don;t remember the car having that low of milage but can't really remeber. I quite easily been the second owner. Maybe the purcherer I sold it was from Michigan. How did you know it was auction there? No I didn't own Ohio heating and cooling . I was a young guy who needed some exta cash at the time and FOOLISHLY sold that beautiful car.

Peter-also I'm trying to download a picture I have of the car but haven't been successful yet.

Peter.. Went to RM auction web site and they had the listings and pictures from Aug. 2006. The Jag in the picture is red with tan interior. Mine was white with red interior. If it's same car sure went througha complete cosmetic change. Interior and exterior. Did description ever say it was a white car at one time or had a complete cosmetic makeover? Would like to think thats my old car. Thanks again Jim.

Peter -One more comment. I didn't notice at first that the auction site gave the serial number but saw it on second visit to the site. Numbers definetely match. I happen to have kept an old registration from the car. That's how I knew the serial number.. It sure looks diiferent. I'll see ifI can get original picture on this site. Now I'd like to find the owner and visit the car ,especially if it's just in Michigan. Jim.

RM auction in '06
www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm

Auction description:
Vintage Motor Cars At Meadow Brook Hall
5 August 2006
Lot 267
1954 Jaguar XK 120M Roadster
To be auctioned on Saturday, August 5, 2006
High Bid of $70,000
Chassis no. S675471

Featuring factory "M" modifications the XK 120 roadster presented here was originally sold in New Mexico to the owner of Ohio Heating and Cooling Co. in Cleveland. The car was purchased from the original owner's estate, which included over 60 Jaguars in all, on July 6, 1988 and has virtually not been driven since.

Today the car remains a two-owner vehicle. It has only 18,000 documented original miles and aside from replaced upholstery, it is entirely stock, being a correct matching numbers example. It shows no rust or serious wear and the underside of car looks as new and clean as outside.

A time warp example, this XK 120M would perfectly complement the desires of any collector seeking the rewards of owning a highly original example of the postwar Jaguar that re-wrote the rules for production sports cars.

Paul I haven't been on this site for awhile. Sure glad I checked it and the updates you added. you're a great help to me and love how you posted the pictures. I I have contacted RM auctions several times over the last few years but seems to fall on deaf on the whereabouts of the car as of 2014. I'll keep searching. not sure who Loffty is on that one comment. That's a comment I left. Always glad to hear from you. Jim Hodovan, Elyria Ohio
