Sellers description:
1954 XK-120 DHC SE (Drop Head Coupe , Special Equipment) . Spent last 45 years in New Mexico no rust on car . Matching numbers Chassis S677233 , Body no. P1234 , Engine W8582-8S , Gear Box JL15598 . Engine rebuilt top to bottom , exhaust manifolds have had porcelain refinished by XKs Unlimited. Engine runs strong was started on frame and starts and runs now with aux. gas tank . Gearbox has new bearings, seals, lay shaft and gaskets. Shifts smooth works fine has 8 miles on it for testing. Rear end has new bearings and seals, custom built gators (leaf spring leather covers with grease fittings) rebuilt original shocks . Suspension rebuilt front and rear with all new bushings, front shocks are new replacement shocks (Spax). Brake system totally rebuilt with new shoes and almost all lines replaced and a new tandem master cylinder with heat shield . New wiring harness and the dash has been restored with new Burl Walnut veneer. All original gauges reconditioned and in good working order. Included is almost a full set of new rubber (minus vent windows seals and outside of door window seals). The body is rust free, solid, straight, bolted in place with all mounts reconditioned. The engine well, trunk interior, and cockpit are finished and painted in early British Racing Green (very dark) . Body off ground up restoration completed up to interior, body and paint . Gas tank old sealer needs to be cleaned out otherwise solid no leaks (pressure tested). Chrome needs restoration but have all of it. Car needs a full interior and top. Original wire wheels with new knock offs (wheels may need to be serviced). All window glass in good condition with 2 sets of door windows. 2 front grills (see pics) 1 is better then other . Outside of interior the car has 99% of parts to finish restoration with many extra parts (hinges , shocks etc.) . Owned car for over 33 years and never licensed it and just started serious restoration process 6 years ago
