auctionsamerica.com/events/feature-lots.cfm

Auction description:
California
July 31-August 2, 2014
1953 Jaguar XK 120 Drophead Coupe
Lot No. 2124
To be offered on Friday, August 1, 2014
Estimate: $ 80,000 - $100,000

Being the recipient of an older restoration, this drophead coupe is nicely presented in triple black with recently refurbished leather and wood interior with a Wilton Wool headliner. In the interior is beautiful Smiths MA instrumentation. Along with the black exterior the car rides on steel wheels that have wide whitewall tires with black center caps, fender skirts and dual fender-mounted mirrors. Included with the car is a spare tire jack, top boot cover, while the original radio is in the trunk.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
