The factory got busy in December 1954 and built no less than 259 LHD 140 Roadsters in that month of which this is one of the 32 cars of that batch known to survive

Purchased in Beverly Hills, CA in 1956 by Richard G. Scott, Sr., an aerospace engineer. Richard was the second owner. The first owner only had the car a few months and returned it to the dealer. This was Richard's commuter/pleasure vehicle for 18 years. In 1973, he parked it in his garage, where it sat untouched until he died in 1997. Richard's son, Ken, had the car completely restored and has been driving it since 2001. The only mods made were the electronic ignition, and the 5 speed gearbox. (The original gearbox remains in Ken's possession.)

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
