In 2002 I was told that one of the numbers for this car was LE33298. This is a Mk 2 engine number. But in fact, it was subsequently realised that this was the misquoting of the XK140’s correct gearbox number, JLE33298. It is clear that the car is not fitted with a Mk 2 engine despite what I had thought and I apologise for the error!
