Bought car as a basket-case in 1984. Had an oil-burning 283 cu in Chev engine mated to the original gearbox, flame-cut firewall and body panels to allow fitting of headers, and butchered bonnet with a hole cut for the carb on the V8 and the bonnet up cut to mimic a Mk2 bonnet. Had no rust on chassis, only minor body rust, original red interior was dyed black, terrible condition soft-top.

Now has a proper VS-prefix XK150S engine, replacement bonnet, and new firewall panel, etc.
