Sellers description: 1959 JAGUAR XK 150 Drop Head Coupe Sound body, chassis and drive train Starts and drives well Four New Coker Classic Tires New Battery New Exhaust Ready to drive away today! This car was purchased by the current owner a little over seven years ago and has been used sparingly since. This vehicle is presented today as a dependable driver with very sound body, chassis and drive train. The 3.4 six cylinder engine runs well and is smooth and quiet with no timing-chain rattle or other noises. Excellent oil pressure. The car starts and drives very well, there is no transmission or rear differential noise. Disc brake pads are in near new condition. The car appears to have been repainted earlier in it’s life and is very presentable, bright work shows well with normal wear from driving. Seats and interior are in very good condition. The vinyl top is in excellent condition and a new cloth top is also included in the sale of this vehicle. Door hinges show no detectable wear when lifting or depressing doors. All glass is in good to excellent condition with just a few light scratches in the passenger side window. Please note: photographs were taken before the new tires were fitted. Within the last 90 days the following work has been done: Carburetors professionally rebuilt and synchronized. All hoses between fuel tank and carbs replaced. Full exhaust system replaced from exhaust manifold including stainless steel mufflers. New fuel pump installed (after-market). Coolant hoses replaced. Brake hoses replaced. Replaced rubber bushings; motor mountings, rear shock lower bushings, sway bar bushings. New steering rack bellows. New Tie rod ends and Front Alignment. Four new Coker Classic black wall tires and tubes fitted and balanced. Updated to Spin-on type oil filter. New tail-light lenses. Battery box (passenger side) rebuilt and both battery access door seals replaced. Vehicle has one 12 Volt sealed battery. Imperfections noted: The only significant rust on the car is in the bottom of the replaceable driver-side battery box which is not being used. This battery box has a new metal shield on the bottom. SUMMARY: A beautiful example of a fine British classic, ready to be driven and enjoyed with confidence.
