cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-Jaguar-XK150S-/170847194536
Car has a buy it now price of $138,000 for 6 days. 28k miles.

Sellers description:
The Jaguar XK150S 3.4 being offered is a genuine numbers matching example.
This Jaguar was acquired from a private collection of quality cars in the summer of 2006. Although the car was at that time in superb condition it was decided to take it to the next level in appearance and reliability with the intention of participating in organized touring events.
The following work was performed;

Charging system converted to an alternator.
Complete rewiring of the body, chassis and interior.
Removed engine and all components from the engine bay. Stripped and refinished all surfaces including underside of the hood and hinges.
All components and systems on the dash board were tested and restored or replaced as needed.
Complete fuel system was overhauled from the tank to the carburetors.
Brake systems were inspected and restored as needed including the booster, hoses and rear calipers.
The rear springs were replaced along with all shock absorbers. Then ride hight adjusted to original specifications.
The steering column was removed and all and all joints replaced.
The original transmission removed and a new Tremec 5-speed gear box installed. Original gear box included in sale.
Complete detail, reseal and major tune up performed on engine at installation.
Replaced of all rubber grommets through out the body and chassis.
Removed the grill and restored it to original condition.
Removed the windshield and re-chromed the lower trim of the windshield frame.
Removed all trim and paint was wet sanded and polished.
New carpeting was installed.
New top and tonneau were made and installed.

Subsequently the car has been driven about 1000 miles and further adjustments have been made to insure a well dialed in tourer
This can be best described as a no expense spared detailing of a what was a really good car. The result is a car of stunning appearance that can be driven anywhere, anytime in the manner intended by the manufacture or quite possibly better.

The XK150S is located in New England and is available for thorough inspection.
This example should be one of the finest you will find.

Car listed as sold at:
www.stableltd.com/index.php

Sellers description:
VIN: T831489DN
Year: 1959
Exterior Color: white
Interior Color: beige
Transmission: manual
Off to Canada...CHASSIS N0. T831489DN. ENGINE #VS1465-9. Our car is one of these factory "S" models and was purchased by a New England enthusiast with the idea of running the car in "The New England 1000" and "The Colorado Grand" with his son. As often happens, however, those plans never materialized, but the car was completed and the preparation (all documented) resulted in a fabulously performing and smooth driving car. The original 4-speed non-synchromesh transmission was removed (and saved with the car) in order for a 5-speed, fully synchronized Tremac unit to be installed. The original 16" chrome "knock-off" wire wheels were rebuilt and rechromed and fitted with new radials. The result here is a car ready to be driven and/or shown, but one certainly to be enjoyed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
