This 1959 Jaguar XK150 S fixed-head coupe is a left-hand drive, non-running project that is said to have remained in storage since 1997 and was acquired by the seller in 2022. The car retains a 3.4-liter inline-six and a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, along with wire-spoke wheels, triple carburetors, red leather seats, and Smiths instrumentation. This XK150 project is offered with removed parts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body has been coated in a black primer, and an unpainted aluminum hood is included in the sale, along with removed bumpers, assorted trim, and lenses.
The knock-off wire wheels wear two-ear spinners and mixed tires. The car is equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The cabin houses seats upholstered in red leather, and the carpets were removed under prior ownership. The wood-rimmed steering wheel, floor-mounted parking brake, and wood shift knob remain installed. Photos showing the condition of the interior are viewable in the gallery.
Smiths instrumentation is mounted in a wood panel and consists of a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an integrated clock in addition to gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles, though true mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts, triple SU carburetors, and a dual exhaust system. The engine does not start or run, and the car has been stored for the last 26 years.
Cylinder head stamping VS2098-9 is shown above and matches the number displayed on the engine block as well as on the removed chassis tag, both of which are viewable below.
A four-speed manual transmission with overdrive is fitted. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
The car is titled using the chassis number shown on the removed plate viewable above. The car is registered as Planned Non-Operation in the state of California.
