For the collector of the finest sports cars, owning an XK-120 should be considered, but owning a matching numbers XK-120 "Special Equipment" OTS is a must.

    Sellers description:
    Lot #960
    Location: West Hartford, Connecticut
    Chassis: S676049
    Engine: F37228S

This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE is a matching numbers late production example. As confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage certificate, this is a Special Equipment car finished in its original color and retains its original engine which has the desirable 8:1 compression ratio, 4-speed transmission, rear end, frame and body. The car was produced on July 13th, 1954 and sold new to James R. Young of Los Angeles, California. It then passed to its second long-term owner who owned it for more than forty years. The SE cars featured several upgrades in engine performance and handling over the standard XK120, and this one is said to be nice driving car on the road.

The removable convertible top on this car appears to be very recent, with good looking black fabric and a generally taut looking appearance. The rear window panel is of the zip-in type, an update to the range which came in late 1953. The car also has its original side curtains in excellent condition.

    Excellent Restoration

Offered here is a 1954 XK120 SE, the last year of production for this legendary car. Its lovely appearance is nicely set off by Old English White with a black canvas top and a red interior. Jaguar's finely sculpted XK120 lines are prominently displayed on this nicely restored example that looks great in all areas. It rides on factory wire wheels with black wall tires and the simplicity of Jaguar's XK120 design is characterized in its split front bumper with the simple, but elegant Jaguar oval grille. At the rear are two simple vertical bumper guards and small tail lamps for a clean look. The interior of this XK120 is nicely restored in beautiful red leather and Jaguar's center mounted gauges on the dash have received a full restoration. At the heart of this XK120 is Jaguar's famous twin cam six that won so many races on every continent. This XK120 also carries the SE or "Special Equipment" performance package that featured wire wheels, increased power, stiffer suspension, and a dual exhaust system.
